Current Artist
Aaron Czerny’s work focuses on the questions and juxtaposition of wildness/domestication within and through the internal/external realms and the micro/macro dimensions of perception and experience. He works primarily in painting, but enjoys installation, earth work and performance as well. He attended one year of university at the San Francisco Art Institute, where he was the recipient of the Sobel award for painting. Czerny has spent much of his life living, traveling and exhibiting in many parts of the United States and Europe.

Tendril Studios, a collaborative art and design studio based in San Francisco.
Artists Susan Martin and Shannon Maher forged a lakeside friendship in Wisconsin and later carried it to the shores of the San Francisco Bay Area. Stinson Beach is a favorite place for them to unwind with their families and find inspiration in the changing winds and light. Sharing an inclination to experience the world with their eyes turned to the ground where they walk, they search for fallen seeds, pods and leaves.
Susan and Shannon said,
“We find and harbor collections of objects with unique stories. There exists a beautiful tension between the perfection of nature’s repeated patterns and shapes, and the wear and markings of time and the environment. It is here that we find poetry and grace. These images allow us to share something of what we see. We hope you enjoy them.”
Tendril Studios worked with Martin Heid Design and EP Building to construct the custom framing and installation of this work.
